Vermicelli Kheer

Serves: 3 persons 
Time: 1/2 hour


Ingredients:
1/2 cup vermicelli
4 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp pure ghee
1 tsp cardamom powder
2 tsp almond and pistachio thin slices 

Method:
  1. Soak almonds in water for 2 hours. Peel and make thin slices. Chop pistachio.
  2. Heat frying pan and add ghee. Roast vermicelli in it till it becomes pink brown and keep it aside.
  3. In the same pan, put milk and bring it to boil. Add roasted vermicelli, sugar and cardamom powder. 
  4. Cover the pan and cook vermicelli on medium heat. Stir in between. 
  5. Once the milk is thickened and vermicelli is cooked nicely, remove from the gas and let it cool.
  6. Garnish with almond and pistachio slices and serve chilled.
