Serves: 3 persons
Time: 1/2 hour
1/2 cup vermicelli
4 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp pure ghee
1 tsp cardamom powder
2 tsp almond and pistachio thin slices
Method:
- Soak almonds in water for 2 hours. Peel and make thin slices. Chop pistachio.
- Heat frying pan and add ghee. Roast vermicelli in it till it becomes pink brown and keep it aside.
- In the same pan, put milk and bring it to boil. Add roasted vermicelli, sugar and cardamom powder.
- Cover the pan and cook vermicelli on medium heat. Stir in between.
- Once the milk is thickened and vermicelli is cooked nicely, remove from the gas and let it cool.
- Garnish with almond and pistachio slices and serve chilled.
